I am an artist, teacher, mom, wife, and outdoor enthusiast, currently working in Fort Mill, SC (just outside Charlotte NC). I recently finished my MFA at Winthrop University, where I taught Drawing and 2D media studies and managed the Winthrop CreatorSpace.
In the Fall of 2020, I began teaching Photography and Sculpture at Fort Mill High. I'm also working on a public art project for Miracle Park, a park for special needs individuals in Rock Hill, SC.
I am currently Artist in Residence at the McColl Center in Charlotte, NC. My residency is a partnership with Atrium Health System, and I am investigating the impact of Covid-19 on the Charlotte Community.
Making art is how I understand the world in which I live. My studio provides me a space to investigate ideas and questions that exist beyond the boundaries of language.
